ASTD Publishing

Christee is one of the newest authors with ASTD Publishing. ASTD stands for American Society for Training and Development and is the premier association for corporate trainers in the United States.

The publishing arm of this association is expanding in the coming year and picking up some major authors – including Christee Atwood. In a first for the company, Christee will have two books coming out in 2007. In October, her book, Succession Planning Basics, will be released. This book gives a step by step approach to creating career plans for those in your organization. In November, look for Presentation Skills Training. It’s a hands-on guide for teaching those in your group how to present dynamite programs, and it will even include a CD of all the handouts for the program. More...

2007 sees Christee continuing her “Life’s Lumps” column in City Social Magazine in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Christee has been a columnist for the magazine since January 2002. Read some of the columns!

National Novel Writing Month

Christee was featured in the Christian Science Monitor, in newspapers across the nation, and on numerous radio and television shows for her antics in November 2006. She was the first author ever to write a novel in one month in the window of a store while wearing a chicken suit. Read the press release here.

As part of National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org) Christee wrote the new novel, Danger, Deceit, and a Demon … named Myron. See an excerpt from the novel.
