RRMC is continuing its “Peace, Love and Hot Flashes”
series with guest speaker and humorist Christee Gabour Atwood on
January 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cascade Room of Rapides Women’s and
Children’s Hospital.
A native of Alexandria, Atwood is author of a new book entitled
“Journal of a Midlife Crisis”, which she explains is a look at one
person’s experiences of midlife, so that everyone else can laugh and
deny that anything like that has ever happened to them.
According to Atwood, signs of midlife may include the changing of
one’s life goal from being president to the lowered goal of just
paying off that college MasterCard or even realizing that it’s not
necessary to call the fire department to save cats in trees.
The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be
served. A book signing will follow the presentation.
